When we spend time in the presence of God, our lives are filled with joy from His presence. I have noticed in my own life that when I drift from personal time spent with the Lord, I become much more bothered by the little things. Things that can be irritating, annoying, and honestly distract me from what is most important.
The flip side of that is when I am disciplined in my time spent with Jesus, I am a better father, husband, and pastor. I am focused and filled with joy for what God has placed in front of me. When we place God as the head of our lives, He gives us clear direction on what steps to take in front of us to walk in obedience on the path He has set before us. May we seek and trust God today to clearly show us what is next, just as His word has promised!
