"Then he said, "When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled."
Luke 24:44

Many prophecies and promises throughout the Old Testament were fulfilled through Christ’s coming, death, and resurrection. When the disciples understood this, their faith was strengthened through this further proof. Our faith can also be strengthened through this historical evidence and Christ’s promises being fulfilled in our lives today.

A few years ago, the Lord asked me if I wanted to know Him or continue just to look like I knew him. At first, this felt like conviction, but as I spent time with him and in the Word, he impressed on me that it was actually an invitation. I kept getting led back to this promise in Jeremiah 29:13— “You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart”. Through this invitation and promise, I felt a new sense of safety and security in asking questions I’d always wondered about God. My questions were and are safe with him as he uses them to strengthen my faith, teach me, and show me more of who he is.

What is a promise in Scripture that you cling to, and how has God used it to bring you closer to him and strengthen your faith?
