I love how strong the psalmist desires to be in God’s presence in Psalm 84:10. The writer would rather be just a doorkeeper, (not even a participant) compared to dwelling with the wicked. I pray for that same posture towards God’s presence in my own life.
What a relief it is that in Christ we don’t have to jump through a bunch of hoops or rituals to experience God’s presence. He’s not tucked away in some lofty and distant temple. If we’ve made Him the leader and savior of our life, His presence dwells within us. We are His temple. Regardless of who I’m with, where I am, or what I’m up to…God is with me. Thank You, Lord, for Your presence. May I choose to dwell with You today.
