"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
Romans 10:9-10
"God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
2 Corinthians 5:19-21

For many years I lived without a sense of God’s presence in my life. Many things pointed me in His direction but my self-determination to do what I thought would please me was a dark cloud that obscured my vision. I lived without purpose, always taking the path of least resistance. What I considered to be liberty was an illusion and my isolation from God was producing unpleasant consequences. When my good friend pointed me to Jesus, it was the Lord working through him to rescue me from the deceptive lies I had come to believe. Now my prayer is that God will use me to guide others who are living in darkness to find the light of His presence in the same way I was counseled.
