"Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches."
1 Corinthians 7:17
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
It took many years of resisting and fighting my circumstances before I discovered I was really opposing the Lord. When I surrendered my will to God completely was the day I also relinquished my continuous battle against my life situation.
The absurdity that I needed to change my environment only kept me from focusing on Him and hindered me from experiencing His peace and joy. Now I am able to be content with the events occurring around me and immerse myself in fellowship with the Lord.
I am so grateful that I don’t have to fix other people anymore. My prayer is that God will transform and conform me to His ways and use my circumstances as the instruments of change and transition.
