"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."
2 Corinthians 7:10
"If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin."
1 John 1:6-7
I use to regret many things I did but thanks to the Lord, I don’t have to any longer. I still have to repent and make amends when possible, but regret is a waste of my time. It accomplishes nothing except to create a lot of negative energy.
Many times I would get into a chain of thoughts by imagining “if only I had done something else!” I am so grateful that now I can have fellowship with the Lord and know that I am forgiven.
The really good news is that I know that He is able to make everything that happens work for good, whether I understand how or why.
I pray that God will help me keep my thoughts on Him in every situation so that even when I make mistakes, I will continue in communion with Him.
