There came a point in my life when I no longer knew what to do except pray. The struggles of my past have shaped who I am today. Behind closed doors, I faced challenges that no one could see. To the outside world, I was the person who never went a day without a smile. But beneath that smile, I was carrying burdens in my personal life that I kept hidden.
In my family, I was the peacekeeper. We loved each other, but the words spoken to one another often cut deeply — words that could devastate a young heart. I learned early on that I had to be a guiding light for those around me. My great-grandmother taught me to be a prayer warrior and to trust that God would cause everything to work together for the good. She always reminded me that the only way to truly be a light was to follow Jesus.2024 was the hardest year of my life. I came to the painful realization that no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t fix the problems in my family. I was no longer the person who could make everything right. I hit rock bottom, and what hurt the most was that the pain came from those I loved most. I felt so alone. In that darkness, all I could do was sit and pray, but I had no words.
Then, God resurrected me from that darkness. The Holy Spirit took my weakness — the lack of words — and turned it into strength. Through it all, He reminded me that the challenges I faced were part of the process He used to transform me. What was meant to harm me became the very thing He used to make me stronger. In His grace, He offers me hope, showing that He can work through even the darkest experiences to bring about resurrection and transformation.
