There was a time when I believed my life was beyond repair. A childhood marked by adventure turned into teenage rebellion, and rebellion led to destruction. I walked a path of addiction, self-destruction, and regret, hurting those I loved and losing my way entirely. Depression overtook me, and in my darkest hour, I believed my only way out was to end my life.

But God had other plans.

Through a series of unimaginable events, including a vision so vivid it shook my soul, I realized that the weight of my guilt and shame was never meant to be carried alone. The moment I cried out to the Lord, He met me — not with condemnation, but with grace. I had spent years believing I was beyond saving, yet God was patiently waiting for me to surrender.

Lent is a season of reflection, a time to acknowledge our brokenness and lean into the truth that God is in the business of redemption. No matter how far we have strayed, His grace is always greater. My life, once marked by chaos, was transformed by the immeasurable love of a Savior who rewrote my story.

If you feel lost, if the weight of your past feels too heavy, know this: God’s plans for you are good. He has a future filled with hope. All it takes is a surrendered heart and the willingness to trust that His love can restore even the most shattered soul.

As we journey through Lent, may we remember that no past is too broken, no sin too great, and no life too lost for God to redeem.
