“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Psalm 133:1

There’s something unmistakably powerful about unity among God’s people. Psalm 133 opens with a joyful statement—it’s good and pleasant when we dwell together in unity. That kind of harmony brings peace, stability, and strength to a community. But unity doesn’t come automatically. Even among people who follow Jesus, differences in personality, preference, and background can lead to frustration or division. That’s why unity takes effort. It grows where humility, patience, and grace are intentionally practiced.

This verse invites us to take a step back and ask: Am I helping create unity in my relationships or working against it without realizing it? Am I willing to listen well, speak honestly, and let go of pride when needed? Maybe there’s someone you’ve felt distant from lately. A kind word, a simple conversation, or a small act of service might be all it takes to move toward peace. Unity doesn’t mean we all think the same. It means we choose to move toward one another in love, trusting that God meets us in the effort.
