My husband calls himself a “Jack of all Trades, Master of None.” He’s truly a very bright and talented handyman. Over the years, I’ve noticed that he sometimes learns things through trial and error. He’ll revisit how he accomplished something previously and either repeat that process because it worked well or discover a more effective way of doing it the next time with fewer mistakes.
We often plow ahead into the future without learning from our past. Before we leap into 2025 and all that God has in store, let’s take the last few days of 2024 to reflect on how God has moved and spoken in our lives. This past year may have been fantastic for you, or it may have been filled with trials. But if you’re like me, it was a mixture of both. It’s important to slow down and reflect on the good and the bad. When we sit with the Lord and allow Him to speak to us, we learn more about Him and ourselves.
Today, take some time to reflect on your wins of 2024. As I do this, God reminds me of many blessings, of the progress I’ve made, and of areas where I chose trust and forgiveness. Celebrate your victories of 2024 with God. He delights in you.
