After remembering all that God had done to redeem and restore His people, the writer of Psalm 126 then prays boldly for another restoration. The author goes on to compare the needed restoration to streams of water in a desert – streams that supply nourishment, sustenance, and life to a land that is desolate and dry.
We need to remember and pray. Asking boldly, believing that God can heal, restore, and deliver. Christina and I have prayed boldly and seen the Lord come through with provision and wisdom on so many occasions in our lives.
As important as it is to ask boldly and believe wholeheartedly, it is equally important to trust God for the results that He chooses to deliver. Christina and I boldly prayed for the healing of our unborn daughter, who was diagnosed with some significant issues. Even though our daughter did not receive the restoration that we hoped for, we grieved together and continued to trust in the Lord who loves us.
Ask boldly. Believe that God can heal, restore, and deliver. Trust Him with the results.
