"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9

Easter Sunday at Cypress is my favorite Sunday because we tell stories. Stories of how Jesus has transformed lives, saved souls, and redeemed the unimaginable. I thought this week we could carry on my favorite tradition! I’m going to share with you a few stories of how Jesus has changed my life. We can experience God’s love, His grace, His forgiveness, and His hope because He has risen. What a beautiful thing, so let’s begin!

We can’t talk about His love without talking about what it cost. None of the stories I’m going to share this week would be possible if it weren’t for the shedding of Jesus’ blood. Sometimes as an almost forty-year-old Christian I forget the sacrifice He made for me. That’s why it’s so good to pause and marinate on the details surrounding his death. He laid down His life so that I could have a relationship with Him and tell my story. If it weren’t for Jesus, my story would be full of bitterness, confusion, anger, harshness, judgment, and broken relationships. I would feel lost, abandoned, and orphaned had Jesus not rescued me. Surrendering my life to Jesus was the best decision I ever made!
